This time last week I experienced the worst headache, ever, while on a flight back from Johannesburg. I thought I wouldn't make it - it was that severe. My eyes went blood shot for a few days and my right eye was half open, muscles weak, and only eased up on Friday. I was diagnosed with migraines in 2013, and they've steadily got more aggressive and debilitating. I was convinced that what I experienced on that flight was not a migraine. I saw a neurologist in the week who confirmed that it was, and I will go for further tests and scans in the New Year.
I guess where I'm headed with this here post is this: real wealth, is good health. We give out bodies good beatings, and forget to service them, care for them and give them the break they need. Even cars get a servicing. I got a huge wake up call and have made some overdue commitments to the vessel that houses my being. I've got to take care of myself:
- I've got to meditate and live my life in the state of mindfulness.
- I need to be more conscious about what I put into my body, and lovingly give myself foods that give me vitality and energy. This is so important.
- I have to listen to the Self, my dreams, nabadala bam. Ngiyabonga ukuthi nisangiphethe.
- I have to be more deliberate about my thoughts, and the words that I speak. My words go out into the universe and come back as experience.
- I've got to meditate, and be still, like I've got to brush my teeth every morning.
- Drink even more water. Make my own, natural juice.
- I've got to put down the bottle, and be kind to my lungs.
- I've go to exercise more regularly. And stretch.. ease my muscles.
- I MUST avoid the poisons in guise such as MSG, sugar, GMO's and all that man made junk that just isn't serving me. Sometimes your consciousness realises that some things no longer serve you. Listening to your consciousness takes a lot of courage. I choose courage.
- And to keep in mind that the same way that I cause my own sickness, so too can I heal my body. No amount of medication can replace putting the good stuff in your body that are both physical and spiritual.
- Oh, and to always, remember that the Universe has my back.
I choose to:
Be alive.
Be awake.
Be conscious.
I choose to engage with my life.
Ok. The end.
Yay. High-five!
