These shoes were made for walking...

There is just something about a shoe right isn't there. The construction, the colour, the contours and their details that just do something to you... something I quiet like but cannot quiet explain! Whiplash at the site of them as they pass you by. Ah shoes!

I know you're with me. I saw a pair just the other day that had my taste glands avalanche into my mouth. I could have pushed the beautifully poised lady in them right out just so I could be drenched in the sophisticated glee they evoke. This got me to thinking... I don't believe we as people put ourselves in the shoes of others often enough. Have you ever found yourself disliking someone so much that you managed to create a reason to distaste of their existence? Perhaps you wrote someone off in haste as they were far off from your background and had nothing in common with you? Where it was decided that that particular person was a b*th or whatever appropriate title you bestowed upon them without ever really seeking to know them or dare I say understand them.

This is the thing. No one wakes up one morning and decides that they are going to be a fuming monster purposely creating discomfort for their lives. Life happens to us sometimes and walls find themselves enveloping us without our noticing. Instead of joining in the bashing party next time around, why not attempt to put yourself in that persons shoes and see how life has moulded them. Life has shaped us and sometimes the reflection of ourselves in others can truly tell us where we stand and in what form our views are shaped. Put yourselves in the shoes of another and clarity and kindness may find their home in the den of your heart.
