I wish you well, and send you light and love

2014. Thank you.
For the extreme lows, bumps, and, the ecstasy of joy that, though I didn't always feel it, always bellowed in the pits of my belly.
I learned? That you really CAN dream while you're awake.
You can have absolutely EVERYTHING your heart wishes for, guard your intentions. Hold them to the highest regard.
Dream. BIG!
Believe. Wholeheartedly.
Some people will opt to see the worst in you, and give up their freewill to seek true understanding for themselves.
Fuck em. There, I said it.
Those that matter wont be blurred by the blasphemy of others or the shadows of their own Egos. Ego is fear based, and had nothing to do with you to begin with.
Truth is, you, are the only understanding you need, for yourself. Give yourself permission to honour the God in you - it will never lead you astray.
Fight to love yourself, completely.
My Black is beautiful.
My lumps, curves, scares and scent are perfectly imperfect... The rise of my breasts, the sway in my hips, the rasp in my voice, the kink in my hair, and the quirky side profile that's my face. All of it is perfect, as is.
Work to know who you are. Shine light on your darkness, don't hush it away or wish it hadn't happened. Each chapter has ita place. Your book, is your book. Write it!
Read.
Sleep.
Exercise.
Honour your temple: Mind, body and SOUL.
Jump into the pool.
People come and go. Some will come back, let them (just throw away the blinders).
Travel.
Kiss, slowly.
I moved to Cape Town: There is much that pains me here, but I have more conviction that I want to be the change I want to see in this world. I stay. I learn.
Injustice anywhere, is a threat to justice everywhere: Gaza. Isis. America. South Sudan. Silence isn't always golden.
Photography.
I healed a broken heart and learned, really learned, that to love is to truly live. I'm for love, man.
Love, hard. Asiye!
Men are a gift to this world. There are good men, beautiful Kings. Trust it.
I am an African.
Dance, all night (don't forget to close your eyes).
Depression is real. Its nothing to be ashamed of, or be secretive about.
Speak. I'm here.
Protect your energies, let go of the good vibration drainers, the manifestation blockers and plain "I don't actually even see you, nor am I listening".
Sex is good, but, wait for someone who sees far further that the lace and lust. Its a beautiful expression that's pure bliss when shared between two souls, that, show up for one another.
Drink tea.
Take a walk.
'Play children play for tomorrow you will be old.'
Life really is beautiful and its easy to get stuck in the sidelines, watching. It isn't easy either, in fact its unbearable at times, but fight for the things and people that bring you joy and unearth the best parts of yourselves.
Don't hate your own life because of the life you think people are living. Facebook and instagram filter out plenty. Your are blessed. You are alive. Rise up.
Smile. Give. Share a compliment. Ask the beggar at the robots what his name is. There are cool kids outside the cook kids corner.

I'm blessed, and im so grateful. I wish you well, and send you light and love for your journey in 2015.
